Affiliate Group Membership
The Magnolia Art Xchange (MAX) is excited to introduce the MAX Affiliate Group Program, specially crafted to support performing groups. This program is designed to empower and facilitate the growth of dedicated performing arts ensembles within the vibrant MAX collaborative community. As a member of our Affiliate Group Program, you'll have access to rehearsal spaces, a shared community studio, a photography tools, shared woodworking and framing tools, exhibition opportunities, and a host of other amenities. MAX Affiliate Artist Group Best Practices
I. What constitutes an Affiliate Group for purposes of the affiliate program:
A. Affiliate Groups must be registered as an LLC or FL Business OR registered as a Club or civic group (501c7).
II. What access is granted?
A. Access is the same as for individual Affiliate Artists, with the reservation requirements listed below in section IV.
B. The number of group gatherings is limited to 1 per week/4 per month, unless prior written arrangements have been made with the board for additional meetings for workshops, classes, or special projects.
III. Can only specific members have free access to space?
A. Each Affiliate Group will be given a maximum of 2 keys, with keyholders required to be officers of the Affiliate Group. Each key issued must be associated with a specific name; shared keys are not permitted.
IV. Reservations of Space:
A. Requirement to "reserve" space if having regular meetings, classes, or projects:

IV. Reservations of Space:
A. Requirement to "reserve" space if having regular meetings, classes, or projects:
- Scheduled at least 30 days in advance.
- Cannot reserve more than 6 months in advance.
- A gathering hosted by the Affiliate Group will be considered an Event (requiring rental fee, insurance, security deposit) in the case that there is inclusion of non-members, collection of admission fees, or other activities as approved by MAX.
- Affiliate Groups are required to renew membership every 6 months with a duration of up to 2 years maximum.
VIII. Affiliate Groups are expected to serve 10 volunteer hours at MAX per month.
- Membership Dues: Membership dues are due on the first of each month ($75). Please ensure timely payment to maintain your active membership status.
- Cleanliness and Respect: It is essential to keep MAX clean and well-maintained. If you use equipment or facilities, be sure to return them to their original state. If you open it, close it; if you turn it on, turn it off. This helps maintain a positive and functional environment for all members.
- Security: MAX is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We encourage all members to exercise caution and responsibility when leaving personal belongings in the facility. MAX provides assigned locker space for personal storage.
- Community Engagement: Affiliate Artists are invited to attend public functions held at MAX and engage with the broader community while representing MAX. Your involvement helps promote the arts and our organization.
- Social Media Promotion: We encourage Affiliate Artists to use social media to promote themselves, fellow artists, and MAX as a whole. Sharing your work and experiences can help build our community's presence.
- Art for Sale: If you wish to have your art for sale while at MAX, ensure that all pieces available for purchase have clear prices displayed.
- Volunteering: Affiliate artists are strongly encouraged to volunteer at least one 5-hour shift each month to assist with the operations of MAX.
- Safety
Safety is a top priority at MAX. We expect all members, including Affiliate Artists, to prioritize safety in their work and within the organization. While MAX strives to maintain a safe environment, individual responsibility for health and safety is crucial.
As an Affiliate Artist, you are responsible for: - Performing your work in a safe manner.
- Assessing your limitations and avoiding lifting loads that may be unsafe.
- Familiarizing yourself with and adhering to the terms and conditions of your membership.
- Keeping your workspace clean and free from waste and clutter.
- Maintaining clean floors and ensuring that the studio is left in the same condition as when you entered.
- Being considerate when sharing space by avoiding loud conversations, excessive music volume, and the use of strong scents.
- Commission
As an Affiliate Artist at Magnolia Art Xchange (MAX), please be aware that MAX charges a 20% commission on the sale price of any artwork that is facilitated by the organization. This commission will be deducted from the proceeds of the sale before disbursing payment to the Affiliate Artist.

Artists must submit all of the items below:

- $25 non-refundable application fee (check or money order made payable Magnolia Art Xchange, Inc.)
